Credit Hours: 3 This course examines the structure and functions of international organizations and their role in the resolution of international conflicts. It is through the management of conflict situations that international policies are derived. For the purpose at hand, conflicts embody a wide range of competitive situations which range from the physical to the economic to the purely symbolic. Consequently, negotiation, diplomacy, and strategy will be examined in light of their theoretical and practical applications. We also examine game theory as a method of analysis and prediction.
