Credit Hours: 5 This course focuses on the adolescent, young adult, and family experience with sexuality-reproductivity. How the growth and development, and health of these persons influence health behavior with fertility, childbearing-parenting, and sexuality are examined. Clinical experiences develop the nursing roles of general practitioner, educator, and patient advocate within settings providing care to the adolescent, young adult, and childbearing family. Nursing interventions that promote, maintain, or restore health with common, acute, and chronic health responses to sexuality-reproductivity are studied. (Offered every semester.) Prerequisite(s): NSG 101, 102, 201, 202, 203, 204; COM 110; PSY 236. Prerequisite or concurrent: Ethics.
