3 credits This course serves as a basic introduction to the philosophies of Asian countries such as India, China, and Japan. Through comparisons between Eastern and Western conceptions of certain fundamental questions of the human conditions, such as the nature of the universe and the nature of man, students will examine their own ways of thought as well as those of other cultures.
