3 credits The peoples of the United States are characterized by rich diversity. In this course, students explore this diversity by focusing on such topics as race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual preference. The social and political dimensions of diversity in the US are examined in order to broaden the student's knowledge and appreciation of the variety of human experience in the US.
