3 credits This class is a performance-related studio lab in which students explore the potential of the space-time dynamic. Basic approaches to performance art with an emphasis on visual organization, mixed media and interdisciplinary methods are addressed. Students participate in both personal and collaborative work, followed by the creation of a fully developed presentation. Field trips to view a variety of performance genres and a workshop with a guest artist are features of this course. Prerequisites: None.
