This course will highlight the research and productive strategies for establishing successful collaborative relationships with parents of children with disabilities, paraprofessionals and other professionals. In addition it will help students foster sensitivity to the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse families. Emphasis is placed on collaboration and partnership as team members design, implement and evaluate appropriate educational experiences for persons with disabilities.
