The course will examine the historical interaction of the Church and key individuals, trends, movements, and ideas. It will examine the conversion of culture (both toward and away from Christianity) and the development of trajectories that have substantially shaped the way Christians in general, and the different theological traditions in particular, have dealt with the broader culture. This course may be taken for undergraduate or graduate credit. If taken for graduate credit additional coursework will be required. Enrollment is limited to students admitted to the 15-week Scholar's Semester in Oxford.
