Elementary probability including the study of event trees, conditional probability, and Bayes' Theorem. Basic distributions (normal, binomial, chi square, exponential, poisson, etc.) used to model variability in data sets. Methods of statistical inference including parameter estimation and hypotheses testing. Prerequisites: MAT 241.
