This course is designed for prospective early childhood teachers at the undergraduate level. The primary purpose is to help students gain an understanding of the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and personality growth and development of the child from birth thru age eight. Current research and ideas in early childhood development will be used in conjunction with historical approaches to examining growth and development.
