This course examines Colorado's minimal licensing requirements, as well as optimal standards pertaining to the operation of programs for young children. It includes a focus on the human relations component of an early childhood professional's responsibilities. Course content focuses on new directors' administrative skills and administration from a teacher's perspective. Legislation, standards, program planning and practical aspects of financing, administration, supervision, and management are explored. (A 10-hour practicum is included).
