It emphasizes the interaction of social, technological, and environmental factors such as economics, politics, and market dynamics with an organization's operational functions. Includes organizations as dynamic open systems, organizational design and structure, contingency theories of organization, conflict and coordination in organizations, and the relationship of the individual and the organization. Usually offered every term. Prerequisite: admission to the M.S. in Organization Development program.
