Course Level: Undergraduate Study of the impact of segregation on the development of tap and the form's resurgence in the 1970s as a corollary to the civil rights movement. Also, the use of tap by contemporary artists. Technical development is augmented by readings, videos, concerts, and papers. Usually offered every term.
