Course Level: Undergraduate Offered as part of the AU Abroad Madrid and the Mediterranean program. Featuring a series of films, mostly produced in Mediterranean countries, which are a rich source for the study of inter cultural relations, this course studies the cinematic medium, not only as a data source, but as a language in itself. Different film traditions are analyzed in order to discover the type of stylistic conventions that vary from culture to culture, as well as cinema's potential for inter cultural communication. Usually offered every fall.
