Course Level: Undergraduate Introduces students to the literary interrelations among the various national and ethnic groups of Central Europe including Bohemia, Austria, Germany, and Hungary, and their dependence on Russian and Scandinavian authors. Writers studied include Dostoyevsky, Kafka, Koestler, Kraus, Meyerink, Schnitzler, Werfel, and Zweig. Offered only in Prague. Usually offered every fall.
