Course Level: Undergraduate Studies the development of the modernist movement in Europe in the first third of the twentieth century, with special emphasis on the German Weimar republic, 1918-1933. The course examines primary works of literature, visual art, music, and film (in English translation) in the context of political history. Usually offered every spring. Taught in English. Prerequisite for General Education credit: GOVT-105 or HIST-115 or JLS-110 or PHIL-105 or RELG-105.
