Course Level: Undergraduate Studies the development of the modernist movement in Europe in the first third of the twentieth century, with special emphasis on the German Weimar republic, 1918-1933. The course examines primary works of literature, visual art, music, and film (in English translation) in the context of political history. Usually offered every spring. Taught in English.
