Course Level: Undergraduate Business is an exciting and dynamic environment. This course is the initial step in becoming a student of business. It provides a broad introduction which enables students to gain an appreciation of the complex nature of business and a sense of what is required to operate a successful business. In this course students learn what a business is, how it operates, and why. They learn how business impacts society and the effect society has on business. Students gain an understanding of the various entities that influence business, such as the economy, customers, suppliers, the government, and the global community, and discover the interrelated tasks and operations that must occur for a business to be successful.
