Course Level: Undergraduate/Graduate Topics vary by section, may be repeated for credit with different topic. An advanced marine zoology course dealing with ecology, evolution, systematics, morphology, and physiology of major taxonomic groups of marine organisms in particular ecosystems. Examples include fishes and fisheries science, marine birds, crustaceans, planktons, coral reefs, and marine mammals. Lectures are augmented by interactive laboratories, field observations, and research projects. Usually offered every spring. Prerequisite: BIO-340 or equivalent.
