Course Level: Undergraduate Continuation of ATEC-210. Waveform synthesis algorithms, sequencer programming, time code synchronization, multi-track composition, complex event design, programming, and system architecture. Provides a systems-oriented understanding of integrated technologies and techniques involving analog, digital, hybrid, and computer-based synthesizer composition. Includes laboratory component for application of tape effects, signal processing, analog and digital sequencing, synchronization techniques, sampling, MIDI networks, and intermediate-level synthesizer programming. Usually offered every spring. Prerequisite: ATEC-210.
