Topics taught in Arabic include media Arabic; Levantine Arabic; and reading and translation of sociopolitical texts. Emphasis is on vocabulary expansion through study of idioms and vernaculars, usage of thematic expressions, and patterns of regional discourse. Usually offered every spring. Prerequisite: ARAB-303.
