This course will introduce students to the basic elements and principles of design while allowing them practical experience with a variety of artistic media as well as an introduction to script analysis. Fundamentals of Theatre Design will introduce the concept of the collaborative process. The focus of this course will be to give students a foundation for the other design courses that are required in their major. Laboratory experience is required, as with all design courses offered.
