A literary survey course which traces the development of Mexican narrative from the Revolution to the contemporary period. The first section of the course will explore the poetry of Mexican modernist writers. The subsequent sections will focus on a selection of diverse Mexican novels from different periods which represent diverse themes. Prerequisite: SPN 3103, Introduction to Literature and SPN 3113, Advanced Grammar and Composition, or instructor's permission.
