provides an overview of business aspects and packaging concerns for graphic design and studio art majors. This class will cover the processes of building a professional level portfolio in a multimedia and traditional format. Students work with digital programs (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash) to build a portfolio. A preexisting body of work and course assignments will be used to advance the portfolio material over the term of the semester. The portfolio produced in this course is to be used to search for an internship, approach terminal art degree programs, and make the student competitive in the marketplace. Prerequisite: permission of the instructor is required.
