introduces students to the fundamental principles of general chemistry including atomic structure, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, physical states of matter, thermodynamics and solution chemistry. Laboratory experiments will demonstrate the theoretical principles and give experience in laboratory techniques. Four lecture periods and one three hour laboratory meet per week.
