acquaints the student with the general characteristics of each phylum of the animal kingdom. Detailed structure and function of organ systems are studied in specific representatives of each invertebrate phylum. Laboratory investigations include analysis of local invertebrate communities. Two lecture periods and two two hour laboratory periods meet per week. Prerequisite: Grade of "C" or higher in BIOL 126/7.
