provides a capstone experience for senior biology majors that can be used in place of BIOL 411 and BIOL 412. Students will work within a theme provided by the instructor (for example: ecological biology, biodiversity of Illinois communities, bioethics, and molecular biology) to demonstrate critical thinking skills, an ability to synthesize scientific literature, an understanding of the scientific process, and the ability to communicate biological concepts in writing and oral presentations. Prerequisite: Senior biology major.
