Spring (4 credits). Examination of theoretical perspectives on race and racism. Through close readings of texts and seminar discussion, students will develop comparative analytic skills needed to chart the theoretical contours of the field. Topics may include the social construction of race, globalization and race, and intersec- tions of race, class, and gender. Prerequisite: REST 120. NU and EV only.
