Globalization as an economic, political, social, and cultural process, developing in the historical context of colonialism and global power relations. Exploration of changing patterns of work, migration, and urbanization arising with the globalization of economic production; as well as the antiglobalization movement and other forms of resistance to globalization. Prerequisite: SOAN 100, 102, or permission. Offered as needed.
