Spring (4 credits). This course focuses on psychological theory and research as a mechanism for understanding prejudice and discrimination. The class explores cases based on such dimensions as gender, race/ethnicity, class, age, religion, sexual orientation, and physical ability in order to investigate the causes and consequences of, and interventions for, intergroup prejudice and discrimination. Prerequisite: PSYC 100.
