Fall (2 credits). Study of advanced jazz improvisation with the goal of enabling students to develop styles of their own. Prerequisite: permission. 616 Seminar in Woodwind Instruments. (2 credits). Reedmaking, mouthpiece refacing, tuning, minor repairs, and mechanical adjustments. Emphasis on single reeds. Principles may be applied to other woodwinds. Prerequisite: permission. Offered as needed.
