Fall (4 credits). Exploration of the social, cultural, and artistic development of countries in which French is the primary language. Alternate focus on (1) Africa and (2 credits) the New World. Readings, slide lectures, discussions, films, and exposés in French. Prerequisite: FREN 302 or equivalent. May be repeated for degree credit given a different topic. Offered as needed.
