Fall (1), Spring (1). Candidates observe elementary classrooms, focusing specifically on the teaching of social studies, language arts, and physical education. Content area standards and teaching strategies are explored. Candidates will familiarize themselves with school-related activities and responsibilities of a professional educator. Special needs and struggling readers will be emphasized. Not open to students who have received credit for EDUC 500B. Prerequisite: EDUG 401 and permission from the School of Education. CN only.
