Fall (4 credits), Spring (4 credits). A senior capstone experience that allows majors to refine their abilities to question and understand the profession while conducting an in-depth study of one area of inquiry. Prerequisites: CDIS 307 and 308, or permission. and neurophysiologic basis of the most common type of communicative disorders secondary to nervous system disease. The clinical, historical, psychometric, and laboratory findings to establish the differential diagnosis among disorders of cognition, language, and speech will be emphasized as well as basic treatment and management approaches for those seen in the acute medical setting. Prerequisite: CDIS 616.
