Fall (2 credits), Spring (2 credits). Introduction to transcription of normal and deviant speech using the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). The IPA including aspects of phonetics and phonology will be applied to language and speech pathology. Clinical assessment instruments used in speech and language evaluations are also studied. Prerequisite: CDIS 100 or CDIS 108.
