Fall (4 credits) or Spring (4 credits), May Term (3 credits). Exploration of the way technologies shape the history of visual culture. Geographic and temporal focus varies, but may include study of ceramics, bronze casting, architectural structures, papermaking, book manufacture, printmaking, and contemporary media such as video, photography, film, and digital forms.
