Fall (4 credits), Spring (4 credits). The physiology, biochemistry, and practical aspects of nutrition. Current controversial issues in nutrition are also examined. Laboratory includes biochemical, microbial, animal, and human studies. Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory. Prere quisite: BIOL 131-133. Recommended prerequisite: BIOL 239. Offered as needed.
