Provides assessment and instructional strategies for the teaching of reading in content areas. Techniques for teaching word attack, comprehension, study, and rate of reading skills are emphasized. Requires a minimum of 35 hours of professional laboratory experiences in school settings. Offered only in the fall academic period (semester). Prerequisite: TE 305 or TE 306, and admission into a teacher education program. (WI) Credit, three hours.
