Focuses on the variety of theories and methods in women's studies scholarship by examining a particular issue from a number of different feminist perspectives. Expected that students have some knowledge of gender inequality and its consequences and have a general feminist critique of society. Course offers systematic understanding of the theoretical approaches of feminist scholarship and an appreciation of women's studies as a complex and dynamic field of study with diverse perspectives. Prerequisite: Women's Studies 101 or permission of the instructor. Alternate years.
