Systems may include electric motors, shape memory alloys, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, solenoids, position and proximity sensors. Students learn a synergistic design approach incorporating mechanics, electronics, computer programming, and controls. Prerequisites: Mechanical Engineering 397, 452.
