Overview of the functions and procedures of federal administrative agencies, including analysis of their underlying statutory authority as embodied in the Administrative Procedure Act and the subsequent case law development of this authority. Topics include the rule-making function, administrative adjudication and due process, judicial review of administrative action, use and control of discretion in the administrative process, and disclosure of information by administrative agencies. Prerequisite: Legal Studies 125.
