Presents processes of growth, maturation, adaptation, motor control, and motor learning. Discusses concepts of critical period, health risk, physiologic reserve, and senescence. The relationship of physical, cognitive, and social theories of human development and age-related system changes given. Views motor behavior across life span within a social and psychological context. Prerequisite: Sophomore standing. Fall.
