The mission of Au Sable Institute is the integration of knowledge of the creation with biblical principles for the purpose of bringing the Christian community to a better understanding of the Creator and the stewardship of God's creation. All of its programs and activities are structured to allow, and are conducted for, promotion of Christian environmental stewardship. The Institute offers courses at five locations: Great Lakes, Pacific Rim (Puget Sound), East Coast (Chesapeake Bay), Africa, and India. Courses are offered in four formats: January session, May session, and two summer sessions. Environmental education internships are available, as are certificates in stewardship ecology, environmental analysis, land resource analysis, and water resource analysis.
