HPW 378X - Practicum in Middle and Secondary Physical Education

Candidates complete thirty-six clock hours of preclinical field experience applying research-based methods and techniques to actual teaching situations under the direct supervision of a certified physical education teacher and the university supervisor. Course work is integrated with ED/HPW 374X and taken concurrently. A current TB test and fingerprint-based background check must be on file in the School of Education prior to beginning the field component associated with this course. Verification of completion of field component is required for education candidates to pass this course. Prerequisites: Admission to the School of Education (Gate 1) and admission to Field Experience (Gate 2). Offered spring semester. One hour.
