Planning a program of physical education for elementary and middle school children. Motor learning, activity learning progressions, techniques of organization, and methods of teaching are emphasized. A current TB test and fingerprint-based background check must be on file in the School of Education prior to beginning the field component associated with this course. Verification of completion of field component is required for education candidates to pass this course. Prerequisites: Admission to the School of Education (Gate 1) and admission to Field Experience (Gate 2). Concurrent enrollment in ED/HPW 377X practicum. Offered spring semester. Two hours.
