Experience in classroom teaching under the direction of a qualified, cooperating teacher. Candidate is progressively involved in the total school program as he or she demonstrates the ability to handle the responsibilities. All candidates must meet the requirements for clinical practice outlined in the School of Education Handbook for Nontraditional Program, which includes passing the appropriate content area test. Must be taken in the same semester with ED 421R and ED 422R. A current TB test and fingerprint-based background check must be on file in the School of Education prior to beginning the field component associated with this course. Prerequisites: Admission to the School of Education (Gate 1), admission to Field Experience (Gate 2), and admission to Clinical Practice (Gate 3). Ten hours.
