Content includes a study of the methods of teaching secondary and middle school mathematical concepts, and includes issues of curriculum, planning, instructional delivery, application, and assessment. Required of all elementary mathematics concentration majors and all Mathematics/Secondary Education majors. Includes twelve clock hours of evaluated field experience. A current TB test and fingerprint-based background check must be on file in the School of Education prior to beginning the field component associated with this course. Verification of completion of field component is required for education candidates to pass this course. Prerequisites: ED 303, ED 360, or concurrent registration, and admission to the School of Education (Gate 1). Offered fall semester. Two hours.
