A course encompassing the scope, content resources, subject-specific methods, and interdisciplinary application of teaching history and social studies in the secondary and middle school. Includes twelve clock hours of evaluated field experience. Limited to History/Secondary majors. A current TB test and fingerprint-based background check must be on file in the School of Education prior to beginning the field component associated with this course. Verification of completion of field component is required for education candidates to pass this course. Prerequisites: ED 360 or concurrent registration and admission to the School of Education (Gate 1). Offered fall semester. Two hours.
