ED 100 - Introduction to Teaching

A survey course designed to provide candidates with a basic understanding of the teaching profession through experiences and activities focused on four broad categories: teachers and teaching, students and schools, schools and society, and the foundations of American education. Special emphasis is given to multicultural issues in education. A minimum of 10 hours of field experience is required. Verification of completion of field component is required for education candidates to pass this course. Completion of this course with a grade of "C" or better is required foradmission to the School of Education. Concurrent registration in ED 110. Offered each semester. Three hours.
