Study of problems and methods of teaching language skills and literature in the secondary school. Prerequisite: Candidates must be proficient in grammar and usage and must submit a satisfactory writing sample before being allowed to enroll in the course. Writing samples will be judged by the staff of both English and Education Departments. A current TB test and fingerprint-based background check must be on file in the School of Education prior to beginning the field component associated with this course. Verification of completion of field component is required for education candidates to pass this course. Prerequisite: ED 360R. Two hours.
