A study of international financial capital in the global economy, focusing on borrowing, lending, and investing in foreign countries. The implications of international business financing are analyzed from both short-term and longterm perspectives, considering both direct and indirect effects. Structure and operation of foreign stock markets, evaluation of foreign securities, and the impact of multinational flows on market liquidity are presented. Portfolio management practices and constraints in different countries are examined and evaluated. Prerequisite: BUS 181. Offered fall semester 2008-2009. Three hours.
