This course will introduce students to the basic concepts of management information systems within an organization. Specific topics to be addressed include (among other topics): the role of information technology, the business applications of networks and databases, the impacts of information technology, and the implementation of information technology. Students will gain hands-onexperience with the organizational application of information technology through assignments involving the Internet.
